After 26 years working in publishing – the last 13 as a freelance writer, editor and proofreader – in 2025 I decided it was time to put the top on my pen, cover the keyboard and fully enjoy my retirement. I may continue to write for pleasure … we shall see.

Children’s Books
I have written a series of illustrated children’s books for a client, working in collaboration with illustrator Sophie Hill of Design Ark. This involved inventing and bringing to life a character, Barry Bear.
